Death of
The Chairman of the Standing Council of Irish Chiefs and Chieftains

"It is with much regret that we announce the death yesterday, 30th
December, of Richard McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks
and Chairman of the Standing Council of Irish Chiefs ans Chieftains. He
was suffering from cancer and suffered kidney failure over Christmas.
We pass on the condolences of all members of the O'Brien Clan to His
widow Virginia and his two young daughters Tara and Sorcha."
